Drifloon Hat

Yay! It's my totally awesome...DRIFLOON HAT!

For those who have not played a Pokemon game since they brought out the Sinnoh dex (Diamond/Pearl onwards) it's a ghost Pokemon modelled on a balloon: [link] . According to the dex, it tries to carry off children that grab onto its strings, but it's not very good at it so usually they just end up playing with it instead.

I made the hat myself over the Christmas holidays, after hatching the idea a while ago, and then finding the perfect purple fur fabric in a shop. I used a hat I already owned for the measurements.

Some people might recognise this as..the hat I wore to last Saturday's devmeet! It had a great time being so popular, and although it did get mauled about a bit (*cough* ~DavidTurner666 *cough* ) I was proud of myself: the seams held firm! Just as well I machine sewed it.

Please comment and tell me what you think! Make it worth me taking forever editing this photo (I'm currently using the crappest image editing software ever so it was murder).

Materials used: fur fabric, felt, wool
Time taken: many, many hours. But it was fun.
